Rumor: The Bills considering a Guard at 9?

It's early, a lot can change, and there will be plenty of rumors. Don't know how much credence to give this. But, Jackson is a guy I like. Just not at 9. And Martin might end up being a stud at G in the NFL. I like that option. But, I'd move down for him. Guard is the biggest need for the Bills. If they can land a day one starter at G, add picks, and still fill the other needs it would be ideal. Taking a G first and foremost is possible method to get the starter you need. But not the only one.

The way it's written, they aren't considering a G at nine, but rather if their guys are off the board trying to move down and get one later in the round.

I realize that. But when I thought abougt titling it "Bills WERE considering a G at 9" it made sense to me that they still would be if a G ranked high enough when all is said and done.

Put it this way, I don't think the Senior Bowl was the final answer to the G rankings.

If they can pull the same trade as they did last year, I would be very happy.

Take an OT in the mid first, LB in the second, WR/TE with the extra second round pick, and OG in the third and we'll be set.

I heard that most players at the Senior Bowl were 2nd round or later talent.

I heard a rumor that we were trading all of our picks to move up to 2 to draft a fullback.

Just a rumor, I mean it's getting really near crunch time and with all the credible sources out there since we've already done free agency, trades, retirements, eh... oh you know I can see this guard thing as 100% foolproof.

If they pick a Guard with Jake Matthews on the board I may go to the Ralph and hurt someone. If they trade down 1or 2 times and pick one later, I am a-ok with that. IMO we should be picking the best big body available. it works.

So we let Levitre walk and draft a guard high when the team still needs WR, LB, T desperately and could use upgrades at numerous positions.

Not really. A trade down was the thought from very early on with a QB being the target.
