he isn't a spring chicken either. i think he's in his 30's. if he is a depth signature, fine, but otherwise, probably more problems than its worth

ROFL. I knew this topic would get posted.

        Absolutely not.

There are far better guards and far better human beings available. The Bills let him walk and gave no explanation. They didn't like his mojo.

I'm not so sure. He's one of the best options available and we don't have a history of paying market value. So landing one of the 4 or 5 guys that are better seems like a low probability.

I wouldn't want him on the team, but really, he's just an *******. It's not like he tortured dogs, drove drunk, carried a gun into a nightclub or ran over a fat chick and fled the scene. I mean, he's a guy that gets paid to be meaner than the other guy that gets paid to be mean. If it blows apart team chemistry to the point where he's a net negative, that's different, but at this point I think he'd be powerless to pull that **** again. Nobody is going to take his side.

I'd rather bring in a garbage can from the Miami Dolphins facility.

Its not worth the media attention he'd bring. He's a distraction.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
                    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

The only player in the league more toxic than Richie Incognito is Jonathan Martin. I'm just sad the fins don't bring both back.

When do you wait for this "net negativity" to have its' effect?

His history speaks for itself. I wouldn't allow him to visit his malevolent personality on my players, most of which are younger than him and not able to deal with his particular brand of intimidation.

If that mentally damaged behemoth banged on my door, he'd hear a racking of a slide.

                              Not at all similar.
