All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

simple does Andre Reed get into the Hall of Fame this year?
I'm not sure there are guys like Derrick Brooks and Michael Strahan to me are sure fire guys. Then there's a guy like Walter Jones and Charles Haley who I feel deserve in over Reed and think Jerome Bettis has some sentimental ties to make it. Toss in Morten Anderson who is arguably the best Kicker ever. I have a feeling the answer will once again be no because there are better players in this class than Reed. Yet if there was a time to get in it might be this year since many of these guys have a few more years they can be nominated and eventual make it but ultimately if I was to place a bet I say no he'll get looked over again.
Why does Morten Anderson deserve to get in when the undisputed best Special Teams player ever (Steve Tasker) still isn't in?
Because Anderson as a K had a much bigger impact on games than Tasker did. Tasker is to me is like a pinch hitter in baseball. You recognize him when hits the HR but when he hits a sack fly or a single meh not really an impact. At least with a K you can see points that they actually produced on the scoreboard toss in he played 25 years whereas Tasker played a little more than half of that with 13 seasons. Toss in it's debatable if he was the best ST ever. Maybe best coverage player but you could argue that return men are more valuable than coverage guys. As to me a guy like Devin Hester is worth more than a Tasker all things considered. Yet I wouldn't call Hester a Hall of Famer either.
25 YEARS!?!? WOW!!! How did he do it? Oh yeah, he was a kicker. More to the point, how did Tasker last 13 years? Running head first into a wedge a dozen plays a game. Anderson may very well be the best kicker ever. What does that mean to me? Wait for a down year and I'd think about adding the 2nd kicker ever (Stenerud). But, to Tasker's defense, he change a part of the game. They made a spot in the Pro-Bowl just for him. Every team started to look for a Tasker of their own.
