Re: Incognito/Jonathan Martin Texts Published
Apparently Incognito won't let it...
Richi Incognito has maintained his innocence in the Jonathan Martin bullying scandal that disrupted the Miami Dolphins locker room and the NFL earlier this season. He continued to do so on Twitter Wednesday night, although in a much different tone than he's taken in the past.
Incognito took the filter off and lashed into Martin with a tirade of tweets. This comes after Incognito released over 1,000 text messages between he and Martin that showed both players frequently used vulgar language with one another. The text messages also did some justice to Incognito's claims that he and Martin were friends.
It's clear that's no longer the case now, though.

Re: Incognito/Jonathan Martin Texts Published
Martin had issues and wanted to use Incognito and the locker room as his scapegoat. He didn't want to play and probably figured he could get a lawsuit settlement out of it.
Incognito isn't an angel by any means but it looks like Martin is blowing thing out of proportion for his own benefit. How many times do you talk crap to your friends and/or say vulgar things to them joking around? It happens a lot between friends or people you hang out with or talk to.

Re: Incognito/Jonathan Martin Texts Published
If any of my friends issued the text messages that we've sent back and forth over the last couple of years, I'd be sued too. Maybe even sent to jail.
It didn't seem like he was bullying him at all. Bullies don't text each other all the time, hang out, go partying, and workout together.
It seems like they were just ribbing each other back and forth like most guys do.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually feel kind of bad for Incognito.

Re: Incognito/Jonathan Martin Texts Published
Now that the report is out, Incognito is screwed. There is apparently a lot more to the story, pulling Pouncey, John Jerry and OL coach Jim Turner into the mix. Other young OL and a Japanese trainer were victims. Incognito and Pouncey actually exchanged texts that threatened Martin if he came back.
In the end, Wells' report is going to have big ramifications beyond Incognito for the Dolphins. There are going to suspensions and fines. Philbin looks like an idiot if he says he didn't know what was going on, because it was so pervasive he either is lying or has no idea what goes on in his own locker room.
I doubt Incognito gets a job any time soon. He is radioactive after this report came out.Last edited by GingerP; 02-14-2014, 10:30 AM.

The report is out. Reading it now. Incognito is done."Talk is cheap, we all know that. It's like I've always said, don't tell me about the labor pains, just show me the baby. That's what we've got to do. We've got to show you the baby, and the baby is winning." ~Buddy Nix

I don't feel bad for anyone, it's Miami.
If I was the owner I'd show up at camp and have a screaming fit in the locker room. But they won't, it's Miami, so rebuild the line you were building, take your time....

Re: Incognito/Jonathan Martin Texts Published
If you ask me Incognito and the others may have been immature but Martin is just being overly sensitive and/or using it as an excuse for a lawsuit against the NFL. This sounds like a story from an elementary school Pop Warner team and not an NFL team full of adults.
Christ where I work which is basically 100+ males with only 3 females in the place which works in the office as secretaries many of us talk just as bad or worse to each other. Either that or talk perverted, etc amongst all of us. It's all in good fun and nobody is crying and using it as an excuse for leaving work with pay and a possible lawsuit.

Even in the "one for all, all for one" setting, band of brothers, stops at the door and on game day, or, well.....you end up looking stupid like Miami is, and good for them. I wouldn't bother with Martin, Jerry, or Ingognito, even Pouncey.....they aren't that good to pull any of it off and now they pay the piper.
