Zach Strief the answer at right tackle?

A global media and thought leadership platform that elevates voices in the news cycle. Online since 1998.

Several rumors have surfaced since the season ended on players that could help. The latest from Bleacher Report has suggested the front office signs former New Orleans Saints lineman Zach Strief. The 30 year-old veteran is ranked as the top available free agent at his position heading into the 2014 season and a player that would immediately upgrade the talent level on the Bills offensive line and give them the experience they need to become a more successful franchise.

Can we fit him under our self-imposed $20M under the real salary cap internal cap (cash to crap)?

Would make sense given Marrone's history with him, but for all we know that's literally the only reason he's being linked to us by lazy reporters who prefer conjecture to journalism.

I would love to sign Strief myself, but I think the Saints will try to keep him.

And that article said Cordy Glenn is Solid?

I believe Glenn only gave up two sacks on the year.

That is MUCH better than solid.

Marrone had a better history with OG Brandon Moore who was an UFA last offseason and we didn't even sniff at him. Yet most reporters do work on prognosis then real reporting since most teams aren't going to just hand out their offseason plans.

I'm on the fence. Loved him coming out of Wis. And at a cheap rate who cares, especially if Hairston is done for good. I mean is Mark Asper so much better that we should ignore him?

Why does someone suggesting a fit make it a rumor?

                        Yeah, poor choice of words.

Carimi would, at worst, be decent and fairly cheap depth for RT and either guard. Wouldn't address my desire for vet depth at center, though.
