Awfully quiet.

Whaley said we would be going after all our own UFAs. Yet no word at all that we are doing anything.

10K Zb's to anyone who correctly guesses the first one of our own UFAs to be re-signed. 10K more if you guess the correct day.

Update: Your guess has to be posted before it's announced by BB.com.

I think the Bills are working on getting Byrd signed March 1.

Carrington may be signed soon after because Parker is the agent for both & they are likely talking about both.

No hurry - nobody else wants them.

Yep, who would want a 3x Pro Bowler?

Yep, who would want a 3x Pro Bowler?

He's a decent player, JC. No bum.

But he's one that petulantly demands a king's ransom, despite playing for teams that never had a winning season, let alone a playoff berth. Some feel that his play kept the team near the surface of the water. Some feel that his play kept them from breaking the surface. Folks chat about "difference makers." Which is meaningless unless you get into the dance.

He does well in the PB popularity contest - no doubt BUF fans stuff that ballot.

If he gets signed by another club, I will chalk that up to owner egotism.

S Jairus Byrd - they might be concentrating on him, but unless they pony up #1 money he's not signing anything without testing market...if they let him.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gifK Dan Carpenter - I think he signs first, on Friday, 2/14
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gif P Brian Moorman - Re-signed with the Bills 1/10.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gif DL Alex Carrington - Parker will hold him hostage until Byrd gets worked out. Unfortunate to lose, but probably not returning.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gif TE Scott Chandler - I think they let Chandler see what his market value is.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gif S Jim Leonhard - Not the highest priority, he'll sit a couple of weeks while they work on others.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gif LB Arthur Moats - They will probably lowball Moats and let him walk.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gif OL Thomas Welch - Not interested, he'll hit market, unless they give him the bare minimum just for camp fodder.
http://www.billsdaily.com/images/blueball.gifRB Frank Summers - He'll re-sign sometime next week.

"Some felt his play kept them from breaking the surface"? Who exactly? He is the last reason this team perpetually sucks!

I echo this 100%. The rest can walk.

I also would not mind a Moats resigning.

Carpenter?

Everytime I see that name, I still auto-associate it with Keion Carpenter briefly patrolling FS in the early 2000s.

I really need to get with the times.

We drafted Hopkins for a reason. I don't like wasting draft picks.

Was good at VT in college but never really became anything in the NFL. Good size though. Been a while since I heard that name, good history pull.

Overdorf just extended Kelsay for the 11th time, only to find out he's retired.

And we still gave him 5m/year for the hell of it.

Those who feel that he is more into getting into position for an interception than reliably pursuing and stopping ball carriers. Don't get me wrong - ints matter a lot - but I for one don't think he justifies his contract price. Yes they have the cap space, but the owner has drawn the line on how much he's going to spend.
