Greer to be released by Saints

I actually would like us to bring him back, he played well last year and could be a good boundary corner depth for us.

I was sad to see him leave us the first time. If he can still contribute, bring him in.

Coffee will half off for anyone with him as well.

        Yesterday was Greer's 32nd birthday.

He's been in New Orleans so long I figured he was older.

I'd love to have him back. A vet presence wouldn't kill our inconsistent young defensive backs.

Didn't his knee explode late in the year?

Yes, he tore the ACL in his left knee this year and went on IR. He has played a full season only once in the last 5 seasons.

I wanted to keep Greer when he left. We need a vet FA CB. With his age and knee, I don't think he is the guy anymore.

Likely injury grievance if he doesn't end up back with them cheaper. I'd guess he ends up back with them cheaper.

I'm pretty sure a team & player have to agree to injury settlement before the team releases him.

If the Saints think he's done, then he's done. The Bills have a decent secondary. I hated to see the guy go when he did as much as anyone, but we really don't need him. He is old and was injured.
