Ebron is the big name, easily plucked at #9 (or lower with a trade-down, IMO).

Not if Watkins or Mack are just sitting there.

A young QB's best friend is an explosive TE.

great legendary TE's have been typically taken in the 3rd round and later.

i agree it's a position of need and could help EJ. EJ is such a skittish passer. when he's feeling it, he has no fear. but he opens games short arming passes etc. perhaps a solid guy he trusts short will give him the confidence he needs.

but picking a TE in Round 1 is the offensive whitner. There is no way the guy can live up to the expectation we give him. It's a position that can only be as good as the qb and if EJ's problems are bigger and he just continues to be a middling qb, the TE numbers will reflect that.

No thank you.

if he has the potential to produce like Graham, Gonzo, Gronk, you'd be against it?

do you think the bills have the ability to find a Jimmy Graham in the 3rd rd?
Gonzo was a 1st rd. pick. Gronk was 2nd . I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats are looking to replace Hernandez via the draft especially with Marsha starting to decline and Gronk with an ACL injury.

I'd be ok with it, but I still want Mike Evans.

Heh - well said. I wonder though - things seem to be stacking up for a run on QBs early on, and that Clowney fellow is hot. My early guess is that BUF's #9 pick is a very marketable one.

I'd be fine with that depending on who's there and who's gone.

"He's tall...so tall..."

He will never get enough separation and we can blame our QB for that.

70% of you morons would blame EJ if you misplaced your keys.

Pining for EJ, who couldn't make it out of the preaseason without an injury. I'd plan on a different QB throwing the rock most of next season & you better hope we draft one early.

I think Ebron is one of the ones at #9, no question. So is LB Mack, 3 OT's and more.

A good TE would be nice to have but not with the #9 pick in the draft. Late in the 1st or 2nd round is fine but most of the TE's drafted in the Top 10 never produce up to them expectations.

We need a blue chip LB or OT with that top pick. Possibly even a big WR depending on how the draft is falling. Between Clowney and all of the QB's we shouldn't have a problem ending up with one. Take whichever is the best on the board at them positions.

I could say that's true if they have an experienced TE but a rookie TE is something different. I posted awhile ago some of the rookie totals that some TEs over the past six or seven seasons and none if the young TEs outside of Gronk had BIG numbers.

Here's a look again:

2013 - Tim Wright TAM — 54-575-5
2013 - Jordan Reed WAS — 45-499-2
2012 – Dwayne Allen IND — 45-521-3
2012 – Coby Fleener IND — 26 -281-2
2011 – Lance Kendricks, STL — 28-353-0
2011 – Kyle Rudolph, MIN – 26-249-3
2010 – Rob Gronkowski, NE – 42-546-10
2010 – Aaron Hernandez, NE – 45-563-6
2010 – Jimmy Graham, NO – 31-356-5
2010 – Jermaine Gresham, CIN — 53-471-4
2010 – Tony Moeaki, KC – 47-556-3
2009 – Brandon Pettigrew, DET – 30-346-2
2009 – Zach Miller, JAC – 21-212-2
2008 – John Carlson, SEA – 55-627-5
2008 – Dustin Keller, NYJ – 48-535-3
2007 – Zach Miller, OAK – 44-444-3
2007 — Greg Olsen, CHI – 39-391-2

Only if the other 21 positions are filled in free agency.

Those are probably eight of the top ten TEs of all time.

If Mack or Watkins are on the boards NO WAY

I have to admit I know nothing about Ebron other than what I have heard.

But I have heard Ebron DROPS the ball...........................a LOT.

People complain about Chandler & the few drops he had, so why would anyone want to draft a TE known for dropping the ball?

If Mack or Watkins are on the boards NO WAY100% agree... I'll even add Matthews, Robinson, Lewan, and Mosley to the list. But, if they're all gone, I'll look for a TE.
