After 17 years, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/page/TB/tampa-bay-buccaneers) have decided it's time for a change. Former Bucs defensive lineman and NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp announced on Twitter (https://twitter.com/WarrenSapp/status/435790404278292480) that he'll be unveiling a new Tampa Bay helmet and a logo this week. The team confirmed (http://www.buccaneers.com/news/article-smith/Thursday-Reveal-Enhanced-Logo--Helmet/7891ed23-9c08-40b7-b459-5f3709d432da) that Sapp's not making this up and that the new look will be unveiled at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday on NFL Network.

These guys were all prototypes during the original switch from Creamsicle Bucco Bruce to the current set.

However, this pic has surfaced, suggesting a white helmet but the logo looks relatively unchanged if at all

Then again, it just looks like this white one, except with an updated helmet and facemask.

I think it will be a white helmet.

Strangely, the Bucs actually wanted to wear their Creamsicle uni's (as a 3rd) but the NFL has a rule that doesn't allow changing helmet/colors. So, the white would allow them to do so.

I also think it will be a white helmet. This way they can use the throw back helmets once a year also. The league allows teams to use throw backs uniforms once a year but the player must use the same helmet. The stickers on the helmet need to be changed on the players existing helmet. This way it can create more revenue with new look as well as revenue from fans buying the throwback merchandise.

well maybe its time for an openly gay mascot. yeah why not the flamboyant swashbuckler, ready to steal your gold and feng shui your foyer. too bad the team isnt from san fran that would be just too perfect, but homos like tampa too. when the time is right maybe bay city can become the first openly gay nfl team. they could lead the league in color coordination and gay porn production
