    University of Buffalo's Mack runs 4.65 40

Former University at Buffalo linebacker continues to make a strong impression at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
Mack ran a 4.65 40 just barely edging Anthony Barr from UCLA who crossed the finish line at 4.66.

No other player from the University at Buffalo has ever been drafted as high as Mack is expected to go in this May's NFL Draft.
At least one NFL Draft Analyst Mark Mayock said recently Mack should be the first player taken in the draft.

After I heard what he ran I texted my buddy we should draft and convert him to a TE.

I want Mack, and would be willing to trade a 3rd to move up one or two spots if necessary to get him.

Starting to think it would be amazing to have the UB guy play for the Bills.

I really don't think there is a bad pick at our place in the draft.

            Other than CB/RB of course.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bills uni.

Certainly would be a great move from a PR standpoint.

I like Alonso - but there is no doubt that BUF has to have set some sort of record for overall iffy LB play for a decade or more. May as well roll the dice...Alonzo had a nice season, I applaud him getting close to the action, but his solo tackle number was only fair IMO.

If they drafted Mack at #9, that's ok with me. They have that #9 choice more or less throughout the rounds, in what the pundits claim is a deep draft.

I really wish they would find a way to peddle Byrd. He does have a nice trick, but he is a one-trick pony. Somebody on this site mentioned Byrd's name in the same breath as Troy Polamalu. A player who harries qbs, snags rbs in the backfield, causes centers to change assignments, disrupts qbs cadences.

Mike Mayock's comments on Vontaz Burfict:

“I put his tape on with absolutely zero preconceived notions,” Mayock explained in a Thursday conference call with media. “I watched three tapes and really didn’t like him as a football player. “I think he’s a non-draftable kid. For me, he’s a free agent.”

.."The common misconception with Burfict is that his problems occurred during the pre-draft process, when Burfict bombed at the Combine and again at his Pro Day. As Mayock has explained, however, Burfict’s fall occurred during games. He’s just not a good player."...

Arizona State linebacker Vontaze Burfict began "draft season" rated as a first-round pick, at least according to January mock drafts from guys like ESPN's Todd McShay.

You did realize that I was being sarcastic when I purposely messed up the names of the other 2 broadcasters too, right?

The only way I'd be OK with Mack is if they have already addressed OT, G and MLB through FA.

No thanks. This guy is Aaron Curry...former #3 pick and now out of the league. Pick Mosley instead if they're going to take a LB please...
