Why not? Buffalo fans love Buffalo players. When you're tanking, you need every bit of positive PR you can get, especially after the past week's mess.

Speaking for myself, his future notwithstanding, I've felt way better about this team since Nolan took over. Not that he's a Buffalo guy, but certainly an adopted Buffalo guy.

I have a Kaleta jersey, and if Foligno would switch to #17, I'd have one of those, too. It may not matter to you, but I'll guarantee you that having WNY players means a lot to the majority of ticket buying fans.

It's important to have likable people if you hope to sell tickets while coming in last place.
