Heck yeah baby I loved Aaron williams when he came out of the draft and although he was not the greatest corner I thought he was awesome last year.

This is a good move OBD.

Next up Spiller and Dareus.

He was very solid and even was a pretty good playmaker in several games, I think he deserved the extension.

This salary makes Williams 8th highest safety, soon to be 10th when Bryd and Earl Thomas sign new deals.

A very good young S. And at 6.5 mill per rather than the 8-9 for Byrd. Cap hit may only be 4-5 this year.

I was about to type "But why now?". But then you think about it and he's about to be the full time starter and could easily perform very well next year and drive up his cost.

Extending him now may save us money in the long run.

BTW, rumor is 4 yrs 26 mill, 14.6 guaranteed. Included in that is a 6.25 SB.

I really liked Williams play last year. I think this is a great extension. Real smart on our part. I think he's headed upward pretty fast.
