Jasper Brinkley reportedly visited with Vikings before Bills

Linebacker Jasper Brinkley spent four years with the Vikings before jumping to the Cardinals last year and he could be heading back where he started after getting released by the Cardinals last week.
A.J. Mansour of KFAN reports that Brinkley visited with the Vikings earlier this week. Brinkley is a limited player who is solid against the run while struggling in other phases, but middle linebacker is hardly a position of strength in Minnesota at the moment.
The Vikings cut Erin Henderson, who replaced Brinkley as the team’s starting middle linebacker, after a pair of DUI arrests late last year. They have Audie Coleand Mike Mauti at the position at the moment, so Brinkley could be reasonably priced competition for them or anyone else that the Vikings bring in this offseason.
Brinkley is generating other interest. He’s in Buffalo on Thursday to meet with the Bills, whose search for inside linebacking help also led them to meet with former Raven Jameel McClain this week.
