Me personally? I'd do anything to play for the Sabres, even if it meant getting my butt kicked both figuratively and literally.

But, as far as non-fans go, I see your point.

It has no impact on the trade. He was a salary dump ala Kotalik. He was not going to be on the NHL roster, barring a rash of injuries
