All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I'm for it. Definitely a worth while gamble. If he sucks, he sucks. But he has the potential and the size to be great if he gets his head together. He will be cheap and has a high ceiling.
I'm impressed with the bills. Bout damn time they realized they aren't in the position to pass on talent to get nothing but mediocre 'good character', 'high motor' scrubs.
Probably pumping Britt up, I know NE was kicking the tires or rather that's what was reported. Then they signed Edelman and LaFell. How much of that Britt to NE rumor was Billy boy floating it out there with all his Rutgers ties just to get the other two to ink a deal a bit quicker?
Super talented guy, but I don't think he gives 2 ****s about playing the game. Worth the risk on a prove it deal, not much to lose honestly.
On April 12, 2011 Britt was arrested in New Jersey on three counts (including a felony) following an alleged car chase with police. The charges were later reduced.[8] On June 7, Britt pled guilty to careless driving and was fined.[9] On June 8, 2012, Britt was arrested in Hoboken, NJ, charged with resisting arrest.[10] On January 13, 2013, Britt's close personal friend was involved in a stabbing and Britt reportedly drove him to the Jersey City Medical Center. When police attempted to ask Britt about the incident, he was allegedly not willing to cooperate. The incident marks the ninth time Britt was involved with police since he joined the NFL.
I mentioned in a previous thread that this is something the team should do. he's got size and talent. 1 year deal with upside in $... We should do it without question.

This is why homers are homers. Lynch gets arrested and he is justifiably off of the team but than the same fans justifiable want Britt who is both worst as a player and as a human being....
And it gets even better...
If he does have a dynamite season he will want dynamite money and you can take that bet to the bank. So if at any point you were a homer who justified giving away Lynch for a 4th or not resigning a 'greedy' Peters or an 'overvalued' Byrd than you have no business cheering for this move. Britt is all of those things, except a great player.
