The Bills organization now have a mission, to polish a product that's been damaged by years of unsuccessful campaigns. Do we go out & mortgage our financial future with high-priced FA, spend $20 Million a season for another Mario type-guy ? That's impractical but what is practical is getting a top talent for ~$5.5 Million a season, an average salary for the top rookie draftee. You get 4 years of a top talent at a relative discount to market, so it's a practical matter to move-up for a great talent.
I can't say what it will take to move up from 9 to 1 or even if we gamble even more & give up our first & second picks for 15' & 16' season while keeping our 9th pick this draft so we can get a new WR / OT or QB. It depends on how far we think we are right now, according to reports we feel we're pretty close. Then moving up to secure great talent is not a bad bet & we will start gambling more now. When it's not your money, it's easy to gamble.
