Maybe we should follow Denver's model to the playoffs?

They really got great on defense, dumped their poser QB & then acquired Peyton Manning who got them to the Super Bowl. Seems like to me that we're only a Clowney move up / new LB / additional S from a great looking defense, new QB will have to wait until 2015.

It's a great model to follow Skoobs.. Except I don't think it is likely there will be a QB of Peyton Mannings calibre who will be a free agent next year.. And paying that QB 20 million a year? Not a chance in hell

No QB, no playoffs, it's really that simple.

I like it. We just wait for a hall of game qb to hit the market and then hope he chooses us.

theres really no reason short of injury the peytons shouldnt be in the bowl again. hes gonna be coming up on that wall pretty soon but it wont be this season. heck even if hes only half the machine he was last year hes still putting that good defense in a position to win

not sure what the op point was considering a peyton free agent in his prime only comes available about once every thirty years or so its not exactly a strategy to wait to bag one

Nah...we kicked Kiko outside, got rid of Byrd (he didn't WANT TO BE HERE) and now we are working on EJ's footwork...the championship is the Bills' to lose.

So we sign Tom Brady after the Patriots draft his replacement?

I don't know why anyone would encourage this thread...

It's just wrong in every possible way. To explain why would be giving it more dignity than it deserves.

I'd prefer to follow Seattle's model. If Manning goes down, Denver is done. The Seahawks would have won the Super Bowl even if Tarvaris Jackson was the starting QB.

We're a heck of a lot more likely to follow SF or Sea's path to the playoffs than Denver's.

Getting a HOF QB to come to Buffalo would be a monumental task that just won't happen.

We're going to have to draft and develop one.

Because it worked out so well the last time the Bills took on a former Patriots franchise QB.

Maybe we did but he didn't prove his HOF credentials in 9-10 games. Stunning, since that's the norm.

He gets another year to prove he can stay healthy and progress enough to play winning football, long term.

Yeah. The unfortunate part is that it takes a year and a half from the day he's drafted to start the second season... Plenty of time to sit around and wonder if EJ is a HOF'er, start threads, analyze if every other prospect or current player is a better option, etc...

The Bills will be giving the guy more than 9 games... It's just too bad 25 games (9 last year and 16 this year) can't start right after the draft and run consecutively to give the impatient fans their answer as soon as possible.
