All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I sometimes wonder how much longer I can stand being a fan of professional sports. The level of disconnection between many pro athletes and real life is so huge it just boggles the mind. You've got a huge part of the country still hurting from the 2008 crash of the economy, many still out of work and here's a guy getting paid milions to play a kid's game for 6 months and he's been a slave for 4 years?
My advice to Spikes would be to get in top condition, follow all team rules and STFU. If he did that, NE might have offered him a contract.

Spikes got in Belicheat's dog house by staying in Fla to work out in the off season against Belicheat's rules.
It was reported he was also late to meetings. Spikes did not show Bill the respect Bill demands.
So - if you did - which I doubt - you now say that Spikes shows respect?
Do you think this reject has undergone an epiphany and now is a respectful citizen, no longer sneering and eschews the dollar bills sparkling in his self-centered eyeballs and mug?

Spikes predicts the Bills will beat the Pats* twice this season.
HOMER! And I LOVE it!
First of all, **** him for giving the Pats motivation.
Second, what's he going to say? "Nah, we suck. I should have stayed with NE so we could win division games"? Even if he thinks like that, he'll never say it to the media.
Players, coaches and GM's are not free to share their true feelings to the media. I do not know why you can't grasp this simple concept.

I said Spikes did not show Bill Belicheat respect.
I hope he never does.
And if you doubt I responded before, go through my posts.

Bellicheck has 3 Super Bowl rings and has coached NE to be arguably the best team of the last 15 years, definitely the best team from 2000-2010.
And Spikes didn't show him respect.
What makes you think he's going to respect a .500 career college coach with a one-yea record of 6-10 in the NFL? Or Schwartz who has failed at a couple of HC gigs already?
