Two days after snapping at coaches during the Clemson spring game, quarterback Chad Kelly is now no longer a member of the Tigers, Dabo Swinney has announced in a statement. The Clemson head coach said Kelly showed "a pattern of behavior that is not consistent with the values of our program."

Swinney announced Kelly's dismissal shortly after the quarterback was escorted away from school football facilities:

Multiple sources now, Chad Kelly escorted out of West End Zone by CU Police, waiting to hear if he is still on the team (thinking no)

"I hope he will mature and grow from this and become the man and player I know he can be," Swinney also said. "I wish him nothing but the best in the future academically and athletically."

Emerging details suggest Kelly got into a post-spring game incident, which reportedly contributed to his dismissal:

i think if you followed young kelly's story up to this point, you kind of saw this coming. Who knows if he will change, but if he doesn't see the clock running out, he's nothing like his uncle.

Well, if he transfers to Podunk State, he can play football right away.

I don't care. This has nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills.

So, we don't want him to be a Bill, because we only take saints, right? Or we do because he WANTS to be in Buffalo? Or we don't because he is entitled, and Buffalo is all about working values? Or we do, because he is Buffalo royalty? Cut Byrd. Stopgap. Kick Kiko. **** hell, it is confusing.

he has a history of being a douche. this is definitely not the first incident he has had and I don't even think its the first time he has been kicked off of a team.

Ali A. Rogers—an intern with the football team, according to collegespun.com's Matt Lombardi (http://collegespun.com/acc/clemson-acc/clemson-football-intern-tweets-real-story-about-chad-kellys-fender-bender), and Miss South Carolina 2012—sent out a tweet further clarifying the situation that ultimately led to Kelly's dismissal:

I'd like to see him transfer to UB. Get him in Buffalo, get his head on straight.

LOL...he was in a tweet war with the returning QB at Clemson before he even graduated from St. Joe's calling him out and saying he sucked. What a douche. I'm glad Canisius had the good sense to pass on that twit.

difference between cockiness and occassional trouble than proven nothing and constantly being in trouble. how many teams did kelly get kicked off?
How many players say "when jim was on your team, you just knew he was going to lead you." how many say that about chad. chad's an idiot. won't amount to even a back up qb and he's got the name, size and genes. pissing away an opportunity.

Nope :sorry:! UB has a good smart QB that has a good head on his shoulders in Joe Licata from Williamsville South H.S. (Billygoats) he also broke all the NYSHS football records.

Just for ****s and giggles, what Clemson quarterbacks have come out in the draft? In the entire history of the college draft, just four. The last was Charlie Whitehurst in '06.

Or because he isn't even the backup QB there and has absolutely no chance of being an NFL QB. What planet do you live on?

PROTIP: Never, ever, ever, ever, ever name your kid Chad. He's going to be a douche and there's nothing you can do about it.

Heh - anybody remember APC's? - aspirin, phenacitin, codeine.

When I was a kid, parents could go to the pharmacist and get paragoric, which was an opiate syrup for harsh coughing. It sure shut us up. Of course, that was ages before drug abuse became so prevalent.

What a different world today's kids face; all these drugs all over the place, that adults taunt and abuse them with. Sad...
