    Interesting comment by Whaley.

Doug Whaley had an interview with WGR and said the following:

If we think a guy would help us make the playoffs, why wouldn't we make the deal?
Do we really think we are just one player away from the playoffs? And if we are, could that player really be a rookie? And of course it could be smoke. But I'm not sure that we are just a rookie away from the playoffs.

Its going to be a long two weeks.

As chatter increases about the possibility of the Texans trading the first pick in the NFL Draft, the Falcons are the usual suspect for the other end of the deal.
True fans want wins, not draft picks.

IMO, if we are one guy away from the playoffs, that guy is EJ.

He may be the guy to lead the Bills to the playoffs or he may not be that guy.

But I don't see any QB in this draft more likely to lead the Bills to the playoffs than EJ.

I'm still not sure where we're at at MLB with Spikes not only this year but the future. Would love to draft Mack but I doubt he would take us to the playoffs this year but would look good for the future.

Its possible Mack or Clowney would fit the Bill eh

JF (Manziel) could take care of all the Cheer leading and play QB...

You're pining for a guy that's probably going to get injured again before game 5 of this season, he's made of glass.

we still need to score more points offensively when the D gives the O the ball back and that's falls on EJ. We were able to control the ball with the run game last year but they weren't a threat to break one every time CJ/FJ had the ball because the passing game wasn't good enough.

Yesterday you said he won't make it out of the preseason. Which is it? Preseason or week 5?

you'll have to wait for his sources(Moran) to get back to him.

Both, he got hurt in the pre-season last year & then in the regular. He's made of glass fellas, how the Bills aren't considering other options is beyond me.

I hear where your coming from Mitch,

but I believe Thad Lewis may have shown enough promise to give the Bills a little bit of a security blanket at the QB position.

ALL of the Bills hopes rest on the shoulders of EJ.

He may get injured before game 5, but let's hope not.

Like I said, I doubt any QB in this draft is any better than EJ.

If EJ can't stay healthy or develop as he should, let's hope the QB class of next year is better than the class of this year.

That's fair, I'd just like to find a guy that might stay out there & win us a Super Bowl or two. Our current guy is injury prone & our back-ups are shaky at best.

Mack or Clowney would both be great additions, but I doubt either would push the Bills into the playoffs.

That will be up to EJ. The Bills season rests on his shoulders.

First, rookies don't get a full off season of NFL conditioning. They invested a first round pick in him- they have to give him at least one more shot. Will it work? I don't know, but we should find out for sure before pissing away that pick.

Second, the Bills have a lot of other needs and only so much cap space and roster space. They made their QB move last year- time to fill some other holes.

Third, who? There were no QB's better than EJ available in FA or trade this year. Rookies? All the top rookies have as much uncertainty as EJ, if not more. And the best ones will likely be gone before our pick anyway.

Clowney or Mack in the 1st, RT in the 2nd.
