    Harlan to fight for Lambeau

    Green Bay - Leave the name "Lambeau Field" alone.

    That's the message the Green Bay Packers are sending to the City of Green Bay, which is studying whether to pursue the sale of naming rights to the stadium.

    During the Packers' annual shareholder meeting Tuesday at the Resch Center and in comments to reporters afterward, Packers President Bob Harlan said his opinion had not changed.

    "We should fight to save this great name," he told shareholders.

    To date, neither the city nor the team has received any offers for the name.

    Green Bay Mayor James J. Schmitt has argued that it is time to move the naming rights issue forward. In November 2000, Brown County voters voted, 53% to 47%, in favor of selling the stadium name. The vote was advisory
