If you were EJ, what would you think?

I don't know that his attitude was ever an issue. This pick doesn't change the many real issues with EJ Manuel that were highlighted in his draft report, and which we've seen on the field. Not to mention the durability question.

I still think of him as Bumblin' Buddy Nix's last mistake.

Not a big believer in EJ, but I know we weren't going to be giving up on him (if he fails) until 2 more season. So the clocks running on him with all these weapons. If he succeeds perfect! If he fails we get his replacement in 2016. Therefore next years 2015 1st round pick wasn't crucial

No, I totally agree. I just don't get why people are saying we gave away two firsts for the pick. All we did is give our 1st and 4th in 2015 to the Browns. We didn't lose our 2014 1st round pick. We just selected Watkins with our 2014 pick.

I'm happy with the move.

Yup. There is that. And DRAFTING a quality "franchise" QB is the proven formula for success in the league, too! I didn't like the Manuel pick when Nix made it, and I was liking it less after what I saw last season. It's not like I'm the only one thinking that way either.

I was never endeared to Losman, I thought Edwards was a sham from his rookie year onward..

I don't feel that way with Manuel. I don't know if he's going to make a breakthrough, but I don't know if I double down on him (like someone else said)...

Cleveland draft grade is A+.

Best CB in the draft, best QB in the draft, and raped the Bills for their 1st round pick next year.

Here's the thing about Manziel... he's tough as ****, game-wise and off the field. He just took a huge snub and turned into a "its my time" moment. I'm not so sure he's going to fail.

Dennard is the best CB in the draft.

I'm not sure Gilbert was the best CB pick for them.

And yet he still sits on the board. I won't be surprised he's drafted in the 2nd.

Why don't we hedge the EJ bet and grab a QB in the late 1st or early 2nd?

Only 2 off the board thus far.

Why did Cleveland trade up for JF? He would have been there at 26.

CIN picks CB Dennard. That couldn't have worked out better for them. Corner back was a need, with aging Terence Newman and PacMan, near-bust Dre Kirkpatrick, and Leon Hall coming off of a 2nd achilles tear. CIN plays a lot of man coverage, and Dennard fills the bill. Coach-for-life Marvin Lewis must be rubbing his foreparts together.

No, but I'd rather have traded selections this year, as opposed to next year, if they were hellbent on moving up...

Last 2 times the Bills gave up future #1 selections were for Rob Johnson and JP Losman, FWIW...

Not really bad, to give a 2nd and a 3rd to move back into the 1st round... Bad choice of player, though... Especially since that was they same year they took Whitner over Ngata.

I don't know if it was previously mentioned, but I think when the night is over, Roger Goodell will go home, order a pizza, blast some rockabilly and drink a quart of gin.

Mayock goes home, chugs a quart of energy drink, snorts some ground coffee, eats a jalapeno casserole of jalapenos held together with hot sauce, works the heavy bag furiously for 30 minutes to work it off, drinks a pot of coffee, watches some UFC, then sleeps for 15 minutes to start another day, meticulously recopying his notes by hand with a pencil.
