If he's healthy, this is going down as one of the better drafts in memory.

I'm wary of 'Bama players. I would have preferred Mewhort or Moses.

ESPN was pretty tough on the pick. For whatever that's worth.

Keep it up Buffalo. Loving this Draft so far. We get the tackle we need and pick up a 2nd 5th round pick to make up for the 6th round we gave up for Mike Williams. Lovin it.

I hate this pick, it was shortsighted, narrow minded and predictable.

Hm, wrong page of my notes.

I love this pick and the maneuvering. Was mentioned his pro day was better than his combine performance, lighter, farther along in healing process. A mean mauler. Real sweet pick.

damn... He looks pissed off. Definitely the most angry draftee so far this year.

Back from combine workout. Bills scout commented earlier, "Cyrus Kouandjio say goodbye to round one"...sluggish, slow & totally unprepared.

Can't decide between "King Cyrus" or "Mount Kouandjio". Either way this angry bastard should bring some well needed nastiness to the right side of the line.

I'm not going to try and pronounce his name so I'm just going to call him "Cujo" and I hope he play just as rabid. Sound like he has a chip on his shoulder and is ready to play hard.

Ichabod Crane could start at RT for BUF.

does he start right away?

Not until we trade Erik Pears first. [/sarcasm] Seriously though, if his knee checks out then we got a great steal with this pick so I'd have to say he has the best chance to start.

There's a reason this guy was one of the top recruits in the nation just a few years ago. Top athlete, nice to get help on the OL. A pick that makes some sense. Just really have to hope health isn't a big deal.

is that a warning to the rest of the league? Cujo: "yeah it is." then walks off camera. **** yes.

I actually felt sorry for Melissa Starks, when he mentioned motivation..and she said, "Is that a warning to the rest of the league"?

Never cracked a smile...just said "yes it is" and walked away.

They continue rolling the dice on this draft.

It isn't just the knee, he looked really out of shape at the combine.. but did full workouts at both pro days to eliminate concerns about his stamina.

Watching him decleat a LB in the first clip reminds you why they drafted him.

Stay pissed off, Cyrus.

Sirius guys interviewing Cyrus right now. They said in jest "Go play for three years and then you can hit free agency before the first round guys."

Shades of Cordy. If these other teams just let us have these guys we should take them. And we are. Very cool let's get a linebacker or guard now.

Definitely in gamble mode at OBD. Hard to argue with the pick talent-wise. Would they dare take him this high if they had worries about the knee? I have to think not.

Heh, I noticed that too, it was comical because he walked past her while she was still facing where he was a second ago and smiling at the space. If you notice too, it took him a moment coming on stage to have to look at the hat to remind himself who picked him.

I love this pick. He's on a mission.

Never missed a game, practice or had a setback with his knee since the injury 3 years ago. Bamas practices are game like too. One of the most highly regarded orthopedic surgeons in the nation, James Andrews from OrthoCarolina says he's good to go. I am not concerned

Don't Panic

I'll say this... if Cujo, Watkins and Manuel play to the high end if their projection range, we're not just making the playoffs, we're hosting games.

21 reps on the bench for a man his size? One of the slowest 40 times EVER? Why would he go to the combine out of shape? Why did he struggle so bad at the end of last season for 'Bama? I hope he really is pissed off and is able to direct that towards his play, because what I see is a bright orange flashing sign that says "BUST!"

Cartilage wear on the knee, and too much weight. As I mentioned, it was said he was lighter and fresher past the combine at his pro day, Mayock said he was moving much better and lighter at his pro day, I mention Mayock because he watches better than most.

I don't know if that answers anything but it addresses it. Not sure about the 21 reps, but pro weight training helps alot for aggravated guys who want to prove something. Like any pick, is time to put up...and he sure seemed he means to (not that that will mean much unless he does)...

From the game tape, the guy looks like top 10 talent at times. Some of the workout videos looked absolutely pathetic. Out of shape (probably the injury was biggest part, its hard to really work out) slow, and frankly just not passing the eye test. There was one particularly bad combine drill they showed where he had almost MY exact form from 8th grade football! Ugly. One of the commentators on NFLN did say he looked significantly better in later workouts than the combine workout they showed on TV. IF the knee is good to go, and he's willing to put in the work...seems like he could be the steal of the draft.

But, what the hell is with players not smiling when theyre drafted by the Bills?? Gilmore seemed to start the trend. I understand we have fricking sucked forever, but cant you at least feign excitement? You're still getting paid. Hoping it had more to do with him thinking he should have gone earlier.

RT at first, and if his knee has him limited he could get kicked inside. He plays nasty. Great pick.

If its just because he fell to the second, well I say lets hope he's the Thurman Thomas of OLs.
