It's just GM speak to encourage his guys and not let other GM's know what he's going to do. If he finds a QB he likes (highly unlikely at this point in the off-season), he'll bring him anyway and say "well we didn't anticipate bringing anyone in, but we didn't anticipate finding someone with this much upside still available" or some other GM ****.

GM's can't be honest with the media. They have vested interests in keeping their players and coaches happy, getting fans to put asses in seats, and not letting other GM's get the jump on them. I put no stock whatsoever in their public comments.

This doesn't bother me any. We already knew they were all in, so let them stay there and collect their birds from the bush, I mean sleep in the bed they burned the midnight oil in, or whatever. Oh, I remember, he who lives by the Manuel dies by the Manuel until death do us part.

I don't understand them either. I thought there was great value to get a QB in this draft and was surprised they didn't get one in the 4th-5th round.

There were good value QBs still left in the 5th round, shoulda taken one of them to compete for the backup or third string role and who knows after that in case EJ flamed out.

Even if one of those QBs themselves flamed out, who care, it's a 5th round pick. Most of them flame out anyway.
