The NFL is going to push back the draft until the end of May next year, and why not?

It's a ratings extravaganza and we clearly don't give a **** what they do, we watch it anyway.

In fairness there were only 2 games on in the nhl and both were regional

Still, the fact that 6+ people watched a sporting event without the sporting event part for every 1 that watched a 2nd round NHL playoff game? That says something.

i think the NFL does right by the teams...the general feedback was the two weeks was an irritant to the GM's, scouts, etc. Once you factor in you have 2 less weeks to sign everyone, get into yourconditioning programs etc, we'll see if there was any big drawbacks.

I had thought sweeps only applied to the big networks and not cable networks.

The problem with the draft is it's anticlimactic. After the first round, ratings drop drastically. What they should do is START with Mr. Irrelevant and END with the top pick. Think about it. It's genius!
