Well hold on now... I believe what I said was that it would be stupid to give up next years pick. I completely underestimated the Islanders' propensity to do stupid things.

So no. It can't happen twice because the second time requires random chance, not an act of stupidity by one of the few franchises in sports so inept that they make the Bills look competent.
