Not bad. Getting the guy who won best o-lineman in college football in the 5th round. Massive too.

“Big guys dominate,” said Cyril Richardson, the Bills’ fifth-round draft choice out of Baylor.
Richardson, who on Friday agreed to a four-year rookie contract – becoming the team’s fifth of seven drafted players to sign – is the heaviest of them all, at 6-5, 348.

The Bills continued to get work done before the holiday, clicking through their draft class signings.

The latest is fifth-round offensive linemanCyril Richardson (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9544/cyril-richardson).

The 6-foot-5, 343-pound Richardson won the Jim Parker award as the best offensive lineman in the country last year at Baylor.

Wait, in the picture it looks like he's having a hard time pushing the other lineman (Collins ?), he must suck.

In relation to a past thread.

Is Chris Williams a better LG, that Urbik is a RG?

Richardson/Urbik> Richardson/Williams

They didn't sign Williams to be a backup IMO

Williams hasn't done enough in his NFL career to be guaranteed anything IMO.

I'm shocked as well.

They could not know how the draft would play out. Could it be possible to have Urbik stay at RG and have Richardson at LG (where he played at college)?

That would look on paper to be a beast of a line.

Urbik is no great shakes here people.

He he has to be helped on almost every play.

I don't think he is. I think Richardson starts at LG and Urbik at RG.

I think he's better than Legursky, Williams, and whoever else the Bills have at the G position.

We're raising our standards on the O-line this year.

I think they all have to battle it out in camp.

Would be nice if Hairston stepped up, too. I really like that we now have options and competition on the OL.

I'm just waiting for the "kick Cordy in to guard" group to chime in...

We won't kick Cordy instead we'll play out his contract then shift Cyrus to LT and Henderson will come off the bench to man RT in 2016.

No more losing linemen that can help or better yet become dominant for us.

C'mon this is where you win everything period.

Gil Brandt probably had the best pre-draft assessment of him, something that should be taped to his fridge...

Richardson ran the 40-yard dash in 5.23 and 5.28 seconds. Richardson, who has 34 3/8-inch arms, did 30 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Richardson has lost about 20 pounds since the end of the 2013 season when he was at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He has worked hard to lose that weight and that hard work paid off at Baylor’s pro day, when he looked very good; he looked like the Richardson we remembered from a year ago when he was one of the most highly regarded offensive line prospects in the nation. He had gotten too heavy in 2013 and did not move well enough to be considered a top line prospect. Now, however, he might have moved back into second-round consideration for the 2014 NFL Draft after falling down into the third-round range with all that weight.

He keeps his weight in check, he has a chance to be very, very good.

If he convinces himself that "more weight equals more power", he can quickly eat himself out of the NFL.

This where I am glad to say we have Marrone in the fold as he's a former NFL O-lineman and O-line coach so Richardson could be another pet project. Maybe Marrone can develop Richardson like he did Brandon Moore when both were with the Jets. It might help out with Richardson AND Henderson but as long as he can get 1 of the 2 to become an eventual starter I think I'm willing to get a nod as long as Cyrus lives up to his billing too.

I hope Spiller is fast enough to get around 350 lbs lumbering linemen.
