Buccaneers owner Malcolm Glazer dies at 86

Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner Malcolm Glazer died Wednesday, the team announced. He was 85.

Wow it's a real changing of the guard these last few years. I wonder if they are a candidate for relocation or how his successor would vote on the Bills issues.

I think he has a son who has a pretty significant role?

"Mr. Glazer's long established estate succession plan has assured the Buccaneers will remain with the Glazer family for generations to come. Linda Glazer, along with their five sons and daughter, will continue to own and operate the team as they have throughout the family's ownership."

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

He has been sick for a long time.

Yeah, ask Joe Robbie how that works out. The financial implications are nil passing the team along to the wife, for now, but if she passes look out.

There are three Glazer boys involved with the team.

Like the Bills, the Bucs are not going anywhere.

I don't think the Bucs are going anywhere either, but Robbie ran into trouble after he passed, the team was transferred to his wife (estate tax-free), then she passed, and the kids couldn't foot the estate taxes and were forced to sell. If the Glazer's aren't set up to handle the financial ramifications if the same were to happen, the team may stay in Tampa but be forced to sell the team.

Which is a real question with the amount of money they have sunken overseas into their ownership of Manchester United.
