Hey folks, it's time to get rolling with the Bills Zone Fantasy Football League (s?)

Firt thing we need to do, is decide upon a carrier for our leagues. I'm leaning towards Yahoos free one at this time. The Bills ZOne ran with NFL.com's last year, and are waiting word for when they open their FFL.

What I'm asking you to do is state your preference as you sign up. Yahoo, NFL.com, or other (please state)

I do have one set up at Yahoo, open for 16 coaches.

It is head to head with a live draft set for Aug 1/03 10AM MDT. 15 picks. It also has an eight team playoff format, for weeks 15,16 and 17,

The league name is Bills Zone FFL, password is zoners. League number is 92979.

We will also need commisionares for these leagues, as I am certain there will be a few more other than this one.

Sign up today.

Yeah, I thought so too. But I was just regitering a sample one.

We are not tied to drafting on Aug 1st. We are also not tied to having it on Yahoo.

Also note:

I've never run one of these before.

I need input. I don't what a good number of teams is. I don't know w good time to draft. The powers that be put me incharge of organizing the massses for BFZ's FF.

Well, since you asked:

- 16 coaches in one league is too many. I'd pare it down to 12.
- I'd prefer the draft be later to avoid losing players in preseason.
- Set the trading deadline as late in the season as possible.
- Playoffs should be weeks 14-16 because week 17 has a lot of starters resting for the real playoffs.
- Allowing fractional points eliminates ties and provides a more accurate guage of performance.
- 25 passing yards per point is standard with most leagues.

Thanks Halbert, I was going to get in touch with you regarding this.

I'll make some more of the adjustments later, and I also pared down the league size to 12. I was going to allow more players, I thought the more the merrier.

If you like you could join that "NoQuit" league I put together. You can copy the settings from there or at least use it as a template. I tried to use the most standard settings in most cases.

Also - I'd be glad to set up another league for BFZ if you want me to.

Hey folks thanks for all the feed back, as I am just getting my feet wet on FFL, I've always been a pickem poolie, and this is my first year for FFL.

Yahoo seems the way to go, so far.

I didn't see that setting until tonight, 50 is way too many. Thanks again.
