i think steward could be a nice piece for the sabres to have next season, at least until the deadline.

He's under contract so whether he likes it or not is irrelevant. He's not a long term piece of the puzzle.

Stewart was at his best in Colorado with Paul Stastny. The latter is an UFA and the Sabres could use a top 6 Centerman if we chose to move CoHo to the wing permanently and need to spend some money to ensure we're at the NHL minimum salary. To me we should dump Leino and pursue Stasny with a large contract.
