Buffalo Sabres' general manager Tim Murray told WGR on Thursday that Chadd Cassidy will remain coach of the Rochester Americans.
Murray said he wants to evaluate everyone in the organization before making changes and that includes the Amerks' coach.
Cassidy took over as Rochester's head coach after Ron Rolston was hired to replace Lindy Ruff in February 2013. The Amerks have made the playoffs both seasons under Cassidy, but have been eliminated in the first round. They lost in five games to the Chicago Wolves this season and were swept in 2013 by Toronto.
The Amerks finished this season 37-28-11 and were 16-11-1 under Cassidy last season.

He will be in charge of valuable merchandise next season with former first-round picks Mikhail Grigorenko and Joel Armia likely to be in the AHL.
