If EJ Manuel Stays Healthy And Plays Very Well, Are The Bills A Playoff Team?

The Bills will not make the playoffs if EJ Manuel has a mediocre year. I don't think a single Bills fans would disagree.

If Manuel does play, "very well," to the point where practically nobody disagrees, do the Bills have what it takes to make the playoffs?

    Are they a complete team?

I'm worried about the depth on the defensive line the most. If anyone gets injured, do the Bills have the depth on their roster to win?

Special teams play is a big concern as well. Danny Crossman's unit did not perform well last year as a whole.

I feel the best about Donnie Henderson's secondary unit.

Linebackers? Can't wait to watch them.

Offensive line looks good, especially with the unexpected strong comeback of Chris Hairston.

    Running backs are stacked.

If Manuel performs well beyond expectations, is the rest of the team good enough to win in the playoffs?

Getting there is one thing, winning once your there is the question.

The Bills gambled on EJ staying healthy, so it's that happening or bust.

Ask Andy Dalton, a slightly better Fitz..

Mr. One and Done...yet he has his fans here. (not me)

Andy Dalton would have been ran out of town if he played for the Bills.

There aren't many teams with good QB play that miss the post season.

Exactly. If EJ plays very well, then we likely are pushing for a spot yes.

True, it usually involves a total collapse by the rest of the team (Looking at you 2013 Falcons and 2008 Saints)

If EJ plays "very well" and at least 14 games the Bills will make the play-offs. Lot of questions to be answered there though.

And Andy Dalton sucks. Cincy would be crazy to extent him to a big money contract.

So many "If's" to go with just him staying healthy.

If a QB is playing 'very well' you can bet the whole team has it's act together. It's really hard to separate those two things out...

He doesn't even have to play very well, just drive the bus.

                            Like Russell Wilson? 3,357 yards, 26 TD's, 9 INT's and a Super Bowl.

With the current roster in play, having EJ at QB gives us the best chance to win every week. In terms of the playoffs, I think it can happen as long as the defense plays as well, if not better than it did last year. CJ Spiller returns to 2012 form and that EJ steps up and becomes an average QB. As yes last year all things considered he was below average but he did play well at times.
