    Texans win Prism Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Sports Business Daily and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst’s Sports Management Department today jointly named the Houston Texans and Dayton Dragons as recipients of the 2002-2003 PRISM Awards in the major and minor league categories, respectively. The PRISM Awards are given annually to teams at both the major and minor league levels demonstrating excellence in five categories: strategic planning, innovative marketing, community relations, customer service and employee relations.

Upon learning that his team had garnered the PRISM Award, Texans Owner Bob McNair said, "I set an ambitious objective of creating the most valuable, most respected sports team in the world and it is great to have achieved so much so quickly."
