Portland, Ore. — Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington and his foundation, The Harrington Family Foundation, announced today that they will present a check for $30,375 to Shriners Hospital of Portland following a successful benefit concert. The check presentation will take place Wednesday, July 16th at 1:00pm PST at Shriners Hospital in Portland, Oregon.
On Thursday, June 26, a sell-out crowd of more than 1,500 filled the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon to witness John Popper and Chan Kinchila of Blues Traveler, along with Jason Mraz take the stage. The concert was sponsored by the Detroit Lions, the University of Oregon, Nike, KINK Radio, Best Buy and several Duck Football Boosters. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the Sports and Rec program at the hospital. ...
