..."At 10 p.m., the channel will air "Middle Man," an hour-long feature on Reed's journey to Canton. The special will feature interviews with former Bills coach Marv Levy and teammates Thurman Thomas, James Lofton, Bruce Smith, Cornelius Bennett, Steve Tasker and Frank Reich, as well as members of Reed's family -- his mother, Joyce Reed Ebling, and siblings Tyrone, Teshia and and Dion. Reed's former coach at Deiruff High School, Larry Lewis, will also be interviewed."...

I'm going to try and remember and watch that.

That was well done, In my opinion they did a good job. The way they showed how much his upbringing made him who he became was done perfectly. Raised by true working class parents in Allenstown PA, another rust belt city. One could see how he was a perfect fit for Buffalo.

A nice tribute to a truly great player. The work ethic, pride, loyalty, and overall talent he displayed all sum up to a class act who waited far too long to take his place in the HOF. Lets hope Sammy was watching.

One thing disappointed me... They interviewed Thurman, Bruce, Bennett, Tasker Marv and even Frank Reich... But, didn't interview Jim Kelly...?

My only conclusion is that it was done during the time that Jim was going through his cancer treatments and thus wasn't available... They couldn't have just not interviewed him, right...?

              I thought that was descriptive.

I do, but I'm not capable of mantic divination.

Honestly, I hope the whole team was watching. I'm too young to have enjoyed those teams from the 90's, but watching last night still gave me goosebumps. This team/city/fans are desperate for a winning team.

The parallels between Sammy and Andre are pretty remarkable. They both grew up with parents who instilled a strong work ethic. From a very young age, they both strived to be the best and not only that, they put in the work. Their games are also similar. Neither were/are the tallest or had/have the fastest 40 times, but both have great short area quickness, toughness, excellent hands, and a physicality that not all WR's show. Now clearly Sammy has a long way to go to get to Reed's level and maybe I'm a little off base, but I couldn't be happier to have Sammy on the team.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread, I just couldn't stop thinking of Sammy while watching. If anyone missed the special last night, I highly recommend finding the next time it shows and making a point to watch it.
