Looks like we have our Matt Cassell when EJ busts.

it is set up beautifully for that. so buffalo.

Ej gets hurt or obviously isnt' a starter. the defense in mid oct starts throwing EJ under the bus "we're ready to win now!" FO, regardless of who is running it, hsa the option to either way for a second round qb, trade up, or take the safe route and parade in an underdog.

we trade up to first round qb AND get mallet in free agency. giving some a reason for optimism that we have a legit qb competition. but in camp our rookie seems to have accuracy issues, being young issues, not ready to NFL offense issues or all three. he doesn't separate himself from mallet who is just as aggrevating as ever. therefore, we go into the next season with a superly below average to average qb, dividing the fan base again into camp a and camp mallett. We spend 2 years arguing over which non interesting qb is the better one as they have to deal with marrone getting fired after a dismal first season.

Ugh. if it weren't for potential new ownership, i'd bet on the above scenario.

The fact that Ryan Mallett is even on the trade block should be a red flag in and of itself.

Brady is 37 and the Pats clearly don't consider Mallett the heir apparent after drafting Jimmy Garoppolo in the 2nd.

They've had three seasons to evaluate Mallett. If they're willing to trade him that's their way of saying he sucks.

Yeah well those morons traded away a Pro Bowl QB in Bledsoe to keep some sixth round nobody who couldn't even start over Drew Henson in college..... oh, wait.

If Rod Serling was resurrected, he could write a Twilight Zone episode about the Bflo. qb saga.
