If Nassib becomes a free agent at the start of the season, what's the harm of signing him to the practice squad & giving him a test drive?

Just because I am a Cuse homer I'd like to see us give him a shot, and with his tie to Marrone I think it'd be possible.

He looked alright in the pre-season game against us I thought.

Considering Thad Lewis' rough offseason, I don't see a problem with adding him. I wouldn't expect much.

Russ Lande (aka GMjr.)had him as the best QB in the draft & helped to start that nonsense. That shows why he's a former NFL scout & not a current one.

We did not bite on Pegula's death.

That was dismissed immediately, as was Bon Jovi saying he would keep the Bills in Buffalo.

We may be from Buffalo, but we are not stupid.

I wonder if Lewis is angling for getting cut to grab another opportunity elsewhere? Either way, he gets minimum NFL union qb pay for time in grade.

If so, that would be spectacularly foolhardy by Lewis. If he gets cut from Buffalo, he's a long shot to ever make another nfl roster.

I disagree. Lewis has 4 years in the NFL, several regular season games under his belt. He wasn't spectacular in his 5 games with BUF - 2 and 3, but those creds aren't bad in an era where backups seldom see a snap. There were plenty folk here who liked him as better than Manuel.

I think if he gets axed - leaving BUF with Tuel...and what? - he gets snapped up. And I think he wants to see if he can do better elsewhere.
