ATLANTA (AP) -- Hundreds of growling mad Georgia Bulldog fans rallied at the state Capitol Tuesday, demanding the school president be fired for asking athletics director Vince Dooley to leave.
But a few hours later, Dooley thanked football fans in Atlanta and wouldn't talk about school President Michael Adams. Last month, Adams told Dooley he wouldn't renew his contract when it expires next summer.
"What else can I say except, thanks, thanks, thanks -- and I love you, I love you, I love you," Dooley told several thousand at a Bulldog Club meeting.
