"There are questions in San Francisco whether Johnson has even locked up the No. 3 receiver job."

With the way the WR spot is looking here, it would have been a good possibility if he was still in Buffalo.

What bong are you smoking out of?

Johnson would have made almost $9 million this season, as a slot receiver.

He isn't getting cut.

Would you pay almost $4 million to a backup?

There are five WRs on this team I'd take ahead of Stevie.

Well, he might get cut. They mention he hasn't built a chemistry with Kaepernick. It's the offense. they use.

Kaepernick is an improv QB which needs receivers running disciplined routes. Johnson is an improv receiver who needs a disciplined QB.

Someone will think or mention, Johnson had success with Fitzpatrick, and I'd say Fitzpatrick was a disciplined QB, he saw everything perfectly, his arm just couldn't get the ball where it needed to be, which was fine for Johnson, who could improv his way open then improv his way to the ball.

Johnson could probably excel with a QB adept at seeing the field, and flipping through reads with the arm to get the ball in his general direction.

He might not get cut...Kaepernick is still evolving, it depends what they want him to evolve into. He's plenty smart and has plenty of arm. Depends on the intent of the coached offense.

I think Johnson could rescue a smart QB with a bad arm, or ruin a system QB with a good one......or with a QB with the right combo of skills, pretty much be uncoverable if he could lose his talent for the ill timed drop.

If only he'd hold on to the damn ball instead of looking to celebrate.

cool. pats should pick him up. Stevie can read defenses. Him and Brady would make a good tandem. he could get 90 catches in the Pats offense
