Pretty damning if you ask me.

I thought Mario Williams said he didn't want to be a leader lol guess now he doesn't have a choice

FJax is the obvious choice, and I think it's pretty customary to have an offensive lineman, so I don't really see it as damning.

So do you think the QB is the Captain on every other team in the NFL except the Bills?

Between Eric & Fjax . No surprises here. You're reading too much into this

12 teams did not have the QB as captain.
That is not almost every team.

Would you make the guy that's hanging on by his fingernails for his job a Captain ?

5 of those 12 appoint weekly and one doesn't have captains. What do the other 6 have in common with the Bills? Their QB's haven't earned the right to be captain. So basically if a teams QB doesn't blow he's their captain.

Its not a secret that Ej hasn't earned anything. FJ may end up in the bills' WOF.

Buffalo, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Oakland, Minnesota, and Tampa are the only teams with permanent captains that don't have a captain QB. What do those 6 teams have in common?

QBs that blow or are totally unproven. Anyone who can't see that and steps up to bat for EJ is a moron.

Agreed when a team has a GOOD QB he is most likely made a Captain, but EJ like many others has not earned it yet.

I agree. WGR 550 is harping on this right now. When/If EJ steps up he'll be a captain. Until then it's not surprising that he's not.

Remember the year the Bills made JP captain and he was on the bench week 4?

Teams vote in six (!) Captains. Reminds me of today's schools with their honor roll quotas... :maggie:

the last time something like this happened TB cut Josh Freeman in week 5... after benching him in week 4. there was a lot of controversy around him not being voted captain before the season with a few of freeman's friends claiming the coach rigged the ballot.

Pretty simple if you ask me. EJ Manuel has played in 10 NFL games. He's still practically a rookie.
