Tiki Barber has always eased up on his offseason workouts to preserve his body for the two-a-day practices in the mid-summer heat. And each of the last three seasons, the result has been the same: A hamstring pull during the first few weeks.
So this year, the Giants running back tried a new approach, increasing the intensity of his workouts as the offseason went along. And now, with the opening of training camp just one week away, Barber said he will report to the University at Albany next Thursday with a different outlook.
