Ville Leino (http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/4441/)’s six-year, $27 million contract would have three more seasons remaining had he not been bought out (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/puck-daddy/ville-leino-finally-getting-bought-out-by-buffalo-sabres--ending-mutual-nightmare-162801241.html) by the Sabres in June. In three seasons in Buffalo, he recorded 46 points in 137 games. In his contract year in Philadelphia prior moving to western New York, he scored 19 and posted 53 points. So, yeah, he was a bit of a disappoinment.
Having gone unsigned over the summer, Leino is getting an opportunity to get his NHL career back on track. Speaking with the media on Friday morning,Boston Bruins (http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/teams/bos/) general manager Peter Chiarellirevealed that the team has invited Leino to training camp (https://twitter.com/NHLBruins/status/507911637991718912).

I can't imagine him catching on anywhere? How long was his goal-less streak here?

How long was his goal-less streak here?It began on 3/31/13 against the Bruins, his last goal being the night before against the Caps. That's 13 games from two seasons ago and 58 from last year...71 games.

I don't think anyone in the ECHL will touch Leino with a 10 foot goalie stick.

And this is the team that got rid of Phil Kessel and Tyler Seguin for not having a "Bruin work ethic."
