We paid Orton to be a starter, EJ's rope is just to watch him hang himself.

Pure Speculation. NO Coach is going to announce that there QBs will get benched right before the game. Then EJ and Fitz will be more worried about throwing an INT rather then just playing the game. These coaches are not going to put the teams chances in jeopardy like that. If they wanted to, they would just start the backups.

This speculation is based on the recent signings of both Mallett and Orton

You underestimate the dysfunction that is the Buffalo Bills.

the position is..and remains EJ's to lose.

If he engineers TD drives...the position remains his.

He can take the opportunity he was handed and make the most of it.

Or...he can continue to play like he did in preseason.

              Its on him.

If we run CJ up the middle twice then throw short, you can't blame EJ for that. Hackett is whom I'm most concerned about.

                    Re: "hot seat" for EJ

I will be focusing on our Guard play.

I have some faith in our OTs, but the Guards have been crap all pre-season.

If that crap play continues, running between the tackles will be impossible and the pocket for EJ will collapse.
