Frankly, I'm stunned....at a number of things, most notably how fast it took Baltimore to drop the hammer on Rice.

The 1st thing the NFL did was to state publicly that they never saw that video. And made a point of saying that they had asked for all videos related to the incident, but weren't provided that one.

Back in July, Peter King (one of the most connected writers across the league) reported that the league did in fact see the elevator video before rendering their punishment towards Rice. Rice's defense was that it happened in the middle of a physical altercation that was instigated by her, ie the "*****es be crazy" defense. The video clearly showed that wasn't the case.

The Casino said if the NFL asked for the footage they would have gladly handed it over. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But...why wouldn't they. If the NFL wanted to see the video, they could have. Period. Instead they wanted to protect the shield.
