I'm told tentative agreement has been reached between the Bills and the Pegulas and an official announcement should come today.

League source tells me that the deal between the #Bills (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Bills?src=hash) and Terry and Kim Pegula is done. Now just pending league approval

And there it is!

Welp..I feel like this is a moment which contributed to a statue of Terry Pegula which will be erected one day in Buffalo.

I am not from Buffalo, and the closest I've have ever been to the actual city is to RWS back when I had season tickets when I lived in Rome, NY. I absolutely could not be happier for all of you Buffalonians on this news. I absolutely did not want to see my Bills play anywhere but in Buffalo. Congrats to you all! I think it's time to sdtart a Pegula statue fund in the same way us fans started the "fire Jauron" billboard fund!

Pegula is a very chantable name. i will be at the home opener. When are we chanting his name?

GMFUDI? What say you? (Word to the left can be translated by going to the previous letter in the alphabet for each letter written).

It's not over yet. We're not going to keep the Bills in Buffalo at Rich Stadium. We need a new one.

Best chances are with Pegula, and I expect that he'll build a stadium with his own money if need be, but until that announcement comes I'm not sure I'd count the chickens.

Who knows, maybe it will accompany the announcement, but I doubt it. I'm sure that Pegula wants to maximize his chances of getting maximum state funding.

can we make a fletchzone so that all his posts aggregate to one area?

everyone else from homer to realist actually have meaningful conversations.

"i won't count the chickens because the stadium didn't magically sprout up upon naming of the owner. Also reports on stadium viability studies have been errant because i didn't read any of the articles talking about it. it must mean the stadium isn't going to be built and they'll move to toronto. Something the owners could have made much easier by simply not signing a long term lease in buffalo."

you are a boring record fletch. even with some of your well thought out analysis, you remain a wanker.

Just ignore him. I don't ignore posters normally, however this one has worked great for me.

Yes, please. Ignore me. Thanks for the suggestion.

You know that his emotional immaturity won't let him do that though, don't you? I applaud your ability to do so.

LOL

Like this place is thriving with meaningful conversations. Most of it is homer jibberish.

I was going to say that some people here shouldn't be allowed to enjoy this victory, but I see they've already taken the liberty.

I'm very excited about not having to worry about life after the Buffalo Bills. Would I follow them to their new city or would I just become a NY Giants fan ? And what would I do with all the Bills merchandise Ive bought over the years. I've even played the scenario in my head where I explain to my kids what the Buffalo Bills were (yeah ive thought about this for damn near 15 years!) Well so much for that! Life is so much simpler now and I can go with my life like any normal every day fan.

With that being said of course we owe alot the Pegula family who financially intervened to ensure that this franchise would remain in Western New York. But I think alot of the credit should go to the late Ralph Wilson, who although true to his word, made sure his family received top dollar for the franchise, but who also in a final act of good-will toward the fan base (inspite of all the crap he took from the fans in the last few years) made it difficult for a potential new owner to relocate the team. Without the stadium lease and without the condition in the bidding process calling for any new owner to show a commitment to stayinng in the area long term, I don't think this team had any chance of staying in Buffalo.

Ralph may not have been the best owner, but he was and will always be the primary reason why we even have a team to cheer for. I guess on a day like today, I feel incredibly grateful for still having my team, grateful for the those that made this possible and also a little ashamed of myself for some of the things I may said in the past out of frustration- I guess I just wanted to say that.

But all in all this is a great day in Bills history!

Rapoport reported that Kim Pegula, Terry's wife, will be heavily involved in the executive process and the making many key decisions, according to the source.
