Bills Team Report

Preseason priority
The team needs to develop a better pass rush after recording just 31 sacks last season. DE Aaron Schobel has been the team's best pass rusher the past two years, but he needs help to generate more pressure. DTs Sam Adams (330 pounds) and Pat Williams (315) have the size and ability to occupy blockers and collapse the pocket, which should free the outside rushers. The team also will work on utilizing its linebackers to get pressure. position battle: The starting left defensive end job is up for grabs. The early favorite is Marcus Jones, who has the size and strength to take on blockers but must stay healthy and show he still has quickness. Ryan Denney has improved his strength and endurance, but he must play with consistency to be a starter. Don't rule out rookie Chris Kelsay, an exceptional athlete with quickness and a non-stop motor. Veteran free agent Keith McKenzie could be the man if he can overcome injury problems.
