Pretty easy question, would he?

No he wouldn't.

No. Did we really need another EJ thread?

No. Did we really need another EJ thread?

The better question, I think, is - "Did we really need EJ Manuel?"

I just looked it up, Worst QBR rating (32nd) in the league (Henne doesn't count) QB #31 has about a 40% higher rating. That's not a gap, that's an ocean away. Worst starting QB in the league by far using this metric.

Pretty easy question, would he?

Why do you ask questions like this?

Which team(s) do you think he'd be a better option for?

Let's start there? We can rule out 25 right off the bat.

I'll go as far as 28 teams off the bat, the last few would be trading dollars for dollars. When the guys on TV are making their predictions, they mention that EJ & that's why they can't take Buffalo.

I don't think he'd even play for Tampa Bay.

Where's Gino on the list?

Just curious.

31st just ahead of EJ, he's about 40% in the QBR ratings than EJ. So basically,

Here's every NFL QB.....

Here's EJ.

Funny, because he stinks too, but at least he goes down field with the ball. This dink and dunk crap has me longing for the good old days with Lossman!

I wanted Nassib.

Sigh.

Id say hes on par with Bridgewater, Geno, Bortles, and Glennon - that is to say, the worst QB's in the league, and I'd take Bortles and Bridgewater over EJ at this point for sure. Im losing faith quickly. Teams are realizing all he can do is complete short crossing patterns and are taking that away.

He also had several problems handing the ball off, one was a broken play that EJ just kept himself. One overthrow was so bad, it still hasn't landed yet.

Bridgewater has had one start, and he won a shootout with Matt Ryan without Peterson behind him. How is he on this list already?

Absolutely not. I'd trade EJ for Glennon in a heartbeat

Bridgewater threw for 300 yards in his first ever start. The only QB I wouldn't take over EJ is Geno. He may be a little better QB EJ but he sucks to and I can't stand him.

The same Mike Glennon that completed 50% of his passes and had an Interception yesterday? Or the Glennon hit 50% of his passes yesterday and had 2 TDs? Like most young QB the glass is half full and half empty on so many of them. Like most I'm upset at EJ's overall game and agree he needs to improve but also knew this is something we'd have to deal with as the season wore on and not willing to say it's time to toss EJ aside.

^ The Glennon who made a play for his team to win the game when it was do or die.

Bold part is all you need to know. One start means nothing and we should all know this by now.

We'll have to revisit this topic in a few weeks - probably by week 8 or so

I would just like to see EJ complete a few passes that is not a dump off, screen, or an occasional crossing pattern.

And not get our receivers killed in the process.
