Stats never tell the whole story. Watkins very well may be best player in 2014 draft. Passing on that because you don't have a QB is the wrong draft strategy. Glad Whaley was smart enough to realize that.

I think the drops week 4 May have been related to thinking each time he went for the ball, he'd be getting lit up. Now that the psychological barrier (aka fear) is gone with EJ sitting, he'll blow up.

I'm curious how he will look when healthy. He seemingly goes down or out of bounds a lot. I think at the end of the season we are going to hear that rib injury was more significant than they let on. He's still probably not worth the ransom in terms of where we were as a team, but his skill in undeniable.

Yeah, and he may very well end up being the third best WR in the draft, or 2nd or 4th or 5th. Too early to tell.

He's not doing what everyone said he would do yet though, at least not on anything even approaching a regular basis. He's had to good games out of five.

he didn't win that game for the bills by catching a wildly errant throw and turning up field to get us into Carpenters new comfort zone of 58 yards?

he'll never live up to how he got on the bills, but he's a good receiver. and better than what we've had before. in 5 games, i am more comfortable having the bills throw him the ball with the game on the line than in the years with stevie.
