Will the energy at the Ralph this week match/exceed the opener?

I feel like with how much energy, excitement, and emotion there was during the opener, the players really fed off that and Miami never stood a chance. With the Bills coming off another unlikely road win, Pegula officially being approved, and facing our biggest nemesis for sole possession of first in the division, I can't imagine the energy not being sky high for this game. I could be wrong, but right now I don't feel like the excitement and build up for this game is the same as for the opener. Maybe it's because we've already seen them lose a couple bad games or know that the Pats are going to be much tougher than the fins, but I'm hoping to see a raucous and deafening RWS this Sunday.

What do you think, is it going to be electric this Sunday? I really don't want to see a ton of Pats fans in the crowd.

Over the past 14 years, have we been in 1st place all by ourselves after 6 games?

I think it will far surpass the opener. The fans are pumped about the good start, the sale is official and it's the start of the Pegula Era, and to top it off, the hated Cheatriots are in town. I have a feeling that the Ralph is going to be fandomonium on Sunday.

2008 when we started 5-1 probably.

but only if NE and/or Miami didn't also start 5-1. That was the year Miami won the division at 11-5, and NE didn't make the playoffs at 11-5.

it'll be hard to be better than the openner. i went to the opener and i felt like we were playing with house money. Kelly was there, ralph was honored, weather was great, we beat chicago....even if we lost, there was a lot to be excited about.

the patriots i think make all of us nervous. and simply that and their newly minted fans traveling around the last 5-10 years fill the endzones....so it just becomes so caustic. i think if the bills start strong, the crowd will take over. if it's a detroit game, i don't see us coming back from an early mistake.

They didn't start 5-1 though. At that point we all thought Trent Edwards was related to Chuck Norris until London Fletcher scrambled his brain.

                It was Adrian Wilson.

Thanks that's right... for some reason I was thinking of Fletcher's hit on Fitz

If the Bills stay in the game, the crowd with go ape.

Fun fact: Kyle Orton is undefeated against the Patriots. The Broncos beat the Pats in 2009 while Orton was QB there. He's 1-0...meanwhile, the Bills are 1-20 against the Patriots over the past years.

If they make a pregame announcement introducing and/or welcoming the Pegulas, the entire stadium will go ape-**** crazy. How the team performs after that will determine the atmosphere for the rest of the afternoon.

This team has been in this spot before with NE:

2002: 5-3 with NE coming in and they spank them 38-7. The famous Greg Williams punt from the 34 game. They crapped the bed
2007: 5-4 the game flexed they beat the living hell out of them 56-10. Crap the bed
2012: 2-1 up 21-7 and going for more before the half and the 1 yd line fumble. Proceed to give up 52 and crap the bed

Here we are again.....Crap the bed or crap on them?

Not sure if it can be any louder than the opener but it will be great!

I'm sure its going to be rocking tomorrow. The last truly crazy Bills game IMO was when we beat the Pats in 2011, I'm hoping we can replicate that atmosphere tomorrow

As long as the Bills allow the crowd to be in the game, that stadium will be as loud as it's ever been.
