Roger Goodell Once Fired Referees For Not Calling Pass Interference For Brady

Has an NFL referee ever been fired for poor on the field performance?

    Yes.

Roger Goodell fires MNF refs for not calling PI for Tom BradyAs you might expect, there was pretty major fall out from such an ending. Was Tom Brady fined for swearing at the refs? You’re kidding right? Hell no. Section 12 of the NFL rulebook titled “The Brady does whatever the hell he wants and if you don’t like it too ****** bad Rules” (explained below), prevents that. No, the refs that picked up the flag were immediately fired by Roger Goodell for not saving Tom Brady (again). Looks like last year’s replacement refs will have some new co-workers at Foot Locker.

Goodell: “This is ridiculous. We went over this with these officials in basic training. Rule 5, Section 12 says that whenever Tom Brady is in distress and needs help, the officials are to throw a flag. This applies at all times, 24/7. If Tom Brady is unable to hail a cab in downtown New York, our officials are to immediately throw a flag for roughing the passer and apply it to the Jets’ next game. Simple, right?

Everyone is held accountable in the NFL.

    Double standards suck.

    So Roger, what gives?

Time to make every single call reviewable

      No.

It's time to fire officials that suck.

Accountability to Roger Goodell apparently has two meanings.

      1. You will be held accountable if you don't suck Tom Brady's balls.

      2. You will not be held accountable for sucking Tom Brady's balls.

Bull****. Coaches should be able to challenge 2 penalties a game.

You DO know that this is a parody website, right?

I think that's a great idea, and can give a crap if it slows down the game.

The league office should be able to overrule a challenged penalty after further review.

Jerry Hughes's phantom unsportsmanlike conduct penalty would have been deleted.

              Yes. That was my point.

When is the last time an NFL referee ever got fired for poor on the field performance?

Why are referees not held accountable when everyone else is held accountable under a giant media microscope?

It doesn't make sense. Any business worth billions of dollars hires and fires people like Geico, or an NFL team.

Why are the part time NFL officials never held responsible for their actions?

              They can't be fired?

Does anyone honestly know if the NFL has ever fired a referee for simply sucking at their job?

Goodell should be fired, and Brandon should be hired by the owners to replace him. That should give just about everybody in Pegulaville something to be happy about.

Uh, these guys are supposed to influence games and to cover it up the league says that they botched calls even though they know they're doing an excellent job affecting the outcomes as per whatever story line they're pushing. Call me crazy but that's what I believe - that game results are PARTLY rigged. These officials are very smart, they know how to kill a team's momentum with the right calls to take the gas out of any offense or defense.

Goodell and the NFL have a vested interest in helping the post-Spygate Patriots*.

My theory is the NFL is still covering up for Spygate and how it led to the Patriots* winning their 3 illegitimate Super Bowls. If the Patriots* suddenly started losing after Spygate, it would be obvious to everyone that their Super Bowls were illegitimate and the NFL helped cover it up. However, if the Patriots* keep winning, then it makes it hard to argue that their Super Bowls are illegitimate.

Basically, as long as Brady and Belichik are with New England, expect the refs to help them out.
